Tyler grew up in a very musical family. Both his parents and grandparents sang and played instruments. Tyler started his music journey at 5 years old with piano lessons and children’s choirs. He grew up performing in church choir, school choirs, band, show choir, and started his own A cappella group in high school; The Sophtones. After 4 years in the collegiate version of Straight No Chaser(now called Another Round), Tyler performed on 2 cruise ships with a cappella group Oceans Four. Tyler joined the now professional group Straight No Chaser in 2009 before their first PBS Special; Live in New York. He says he’s been very blessed to do this for a living. getting to perform and arrange songs for many people all over the world.
